I love a hot glass of apple cider, warm blankets, long walks, the beaches of Lake Michigan, all things candy (though I’m desperately trying to break the bondage of addiction and give it up this year once and for all) see 17 Goals For 2017, pretty fingernails by way of Jamberry nail wraps (though even that is being simplified this year so I can limit my distractions), my new to me short hair (I’ve only had my hair this short about 3 times in my 36 years of life and usually I regret it instantly and grow it right back out, keeping it between my chin and upper mid back) this time I’m planning to keep it short for a year or more and I’m loving it, Pizza, steak, another glass of hot apple cider, the smell of a good book, the smell of burning leaves, my hammock, my kindle, time alone with Him, and the very rare time alone with Huz.
As of this coming August Huz and I will have officially known each other for 18 years, exactly half of our lives. Also in August we will have been together for 15 years and in March we will be married for 12 years. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather do life with, and I’m so incredibly grateful for his constant love and support. He has always been so encouraging and serious about wanting me to write and has been working tirelessly for weeks now to get Whispers On Writeria Lane up and running for me. He is an incredible artist and does graphic/web design for a living, he would spend every day fishing if I’d let him, and I must admit he never looks happier or more content than when he is on the edge of a lake with a pole in his hand. Together we have 3 kids, The Quarterback, Mr. Zookeeper, and Our Little Queen. Two boys and a queen. There will be many stories about them in theses pages and I hope you’ll love them as much as we do.
You’ve probably figured out by now that I love to read and write. I also love to watch TV and movies. Basically I love anything that is related to story. I’m partial to Christian fiction/romance, but do branch out from time to time because it’s so important to me as a writer to know the nuances of all genres. Something many people don’t know about me is that I love to critique and keep sort of a mental dialogue with myself reviewing things that I’m reading or watching, I’m so excited about being able to do that here in this space. I plan to write a few reviews a month. I’m planning to review at least one Christian non fiction and one Christian Fiction work a month in addition to anything else I manage to get my hands on.
